Hyundai Exter
Hyundai has always been a brand that entices buyers with its excellent quality vehicles at an affordable price point. Recently, the automaker has been teasing car enthusiasts with pictures of their upcoming Hyundai Exter. The Hyundai’s Exter is designed to be an affordable, stylish, and compact crossover SUV. The teaser image depicts the Exter featuring a striking front fascia with a split headlamp, H-shape DRLs, and a rectangular grille.

Hyundai Exter will be offered in five different variants – EX, S, SX, SX (O), and SX (O) Connect. Features-wise it will have a big touchscreen system, cruise control, a digitized driver’s display, wireless phone charging, sunroof, automatic AC, and push button start-stop. Its safety features will include up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), rear parking camera, and ISOFIX child-seat anchorages.

Hyundai ExterHyundai Exter’s Engine

Under its hood, the new Hyundai Exter is supposed to feature a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT. This same engine is present in the Grand i10 Nios and produces 83PS of power and 114Nm of torque. The Exter will also be available with a CNG drivetrain powered by the same 1.2-liter petrol engine. In CNG versions, this unit will only be mated with a 5-speed manual transmission and will have lower power statistics.

Exter official price is yet to be announced but according to some reports on the internet, the Hyundai Exter is likely to cost around Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom). Also, Hyundai is expected to launch the Exter in June 2023. The Exter will rival the likes of Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Citroen C3, and Maruti Fronx.
