Details for the MG Astor Black Storm EditionThe Black Storm version of the Gloster SUV was introduced by MG back in May, and now the Astor will follow suit. Bookings for the Astor Black Storm are currently being accepted by MG for a nominal fee of Rs. 25,000. Only the Smart variant of the Astor Black Storm will be offered, along with manual and CVT gearbox options for the 1.5L regular petrol engine.
The Astor Black Storm features a few exterior and interior visual improvements over the standard Astor. The front grille of the Astor Black Storm is blackened out, and the alloy wheels, roof rails, side door cladding, and Astor logo also receive the black treatment. Additionally, it has ‘Black Storm’ badging on the front fenders and red brake callipers.
The Astor Black Storm’s interior features a dashboard that is entirely black. Red stitching is used for the dashboard and door cards as well as the red surrounds for the AC vents. Additionally, it provides chairs with red stitching on dark grey leather. The Astor Black Storm has four JBL speakers, a full-colour LCD instrument cluster, heated ORVMs, and a digital key with Bluetooth functionality.
MG will only sell the Astor Black Storm with the 1.5L regular petrol engine, as was previously reported. This engine generates 144Nm of torque at 4400 rpm and 110PS of power at 6000 rpm. A continuously variable gearbox (CVT) or a 5-speed manual gearbox are available as options.
