German manufacturer BMW launched a new luxury and powerful SUV in India called BMW XM. This SUV will give tough competition to the high-selling Lamborghini Urus. BMW XM was introduced in September 2022. The price of this SUV is revealed by the company, the BMW XM will cost Rs. 2.60 crores (Ex-showroom) in India. The delivery of this new BMW will start next year in May. BMW XM is a plug-in hybrid SUV and it is the first of the M brand SUV to come with plug-in hybrid technology. The newly launched BMW XM holds a powerful 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged petrol engine under the hood. This engine generates a power of 653 bhp and 800 Nm of peak torque. All 4 wheels of the SUV get power supply from the engine. The top speed of the BMW XM is 140 km per hour and it can do 0 to 100kmph in just 4.3 seconds.
The BWM XM also carries a 25.7kWh battery which is used by the plug-in hybrid system. This SUV can run 88km on pure electricity thanks to hybrid technology. The company provides a 7.4 kW AC fast charger with this SUV to charge its battery.
The BMW XM is a powerful SUV with a luxury interior and features. The outside design of this SUV is enhanced by a large kidney grill on the front that has golden accents on it. XM runs on 23-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and has vertical-style exhaust. BMW’s new split headlight setup can be seen on this SUV.
Talking about the features this SUV has a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Harman Kardon surround sound system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 4-zone automatic climate control AC, ADAS technology, and Ambient lighting.
BMW XM will compete with the popular Lamborghini Urus in India. The Urus is well-liked for its performance and styling. Urus is powered by a 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which generates 650 PS of power and 850 Nm of peak torque. Urus also gets an 8-speed automatic transmission and the top speed of this car is 305kmph.
