The mid-size sedan segment is not as popular as the SUV segment in India but some mid-size sedan cars like Honda City, Skoda Slavia, and Verna do have their own fan following which pushes the companies to continue these sedans. Hyundai will introduce many new features in Verna to compete with the likes of the New-gen Honda City Hybrid. The 2023 Verna will carry the brand’s new design philosophy which we have seen in the other new-age Hyundai models. The front of the car will get many changes like a new sportier grille, integrated LED DRLs, LED MFR headlamps, and positioning lamps. The current mesh-type grille of the Verna will be replaced by a new parametric design grille which will have a dark chrome finish. The rear of the car could get a split tail lamp setup with an interconnecting light strip. All these new design changes will make the new Verna look sportier and more stylish than before.
Among the top 3 mid-size sedans in the country, the Verna stands in 3rd place in terms of length. The dimensions of the new Verna will be largely the same as the current model. The length of the current Verna is 4,440 mm, the width is 1,729 mm, the height is 1,475 mm, and the wheelbase is 2,600 mm. It will have a refreshed cockpit space, updated dashboard, and new dual-screen setup for the infotainment and instrument cluster just like we have seen in the Mahindra XUV700 and Mercedes models. The other major changes in the interior of the Verna could be more space for the rear seat passengers and some new range connectivity features.
Talking about the current model Verna. It has an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple Carplay and Android Auto. It also has Hyundai Blue Link connected car tech which increases the number of connectivity features.
