Toyota India and Maruti Suzuki India partnership are known to all. For the past few years, Maruti and Toyota have been working together to create good cars but both companies are not making the same amount of profit from this partnership because Toyota sales are no way near Maruti’s sales. This is because of the popularity of Maruti in India. Maruti Suzuki dominates the Indian car market from almost the start of the private vehicle industry. Maruti Suzuki’s strong points are – affordability, low maintenance, and high mileage. It’s true that Toyota sales in India are significantly lower than Maruti’s sales but this does not mean that Toyota doesn’t offer great cars.

Toyota is long known for making durable and long-lasting cars and the company has its own fan base. The partnership of both companies gave us the new Baleno – Glanza, Urban Cruiser – Brezza, and Grand Vitara – HyRyder. Today, in this article, we will talk about the older version of Brezza and Urban Cruiser. We will give you an overview of both SUVs and tell some points that differentiate them. Later we will talk about their features and price.

Brezza

Toyota Urban Cruiser and Maruti Suzuki Brezza 

The Urban Cruiser and Brezza are the products of the partnership between Toyota and Maruti Suzuki. Both SUVs have similar shape and sizes yet have their own characteristics. The design elements of both SUVs are different but you might get confused between the two. The difference between Urban Cruiser and Brezza is only in price and design elements. You can say that the Urban Cruise is the Brezza Toyota version or the Toyota Brezza. The interior of both the SUVs is also the same and both have the same feature list as well. Some of their key features are – a push start/stop button, automatic climate control, smart play-cast touchscreen infotainment system, rain-sensing wipers, cruise control, and electrochromic rearview mirror.

Brezza

Engine and Price 

Toyota Urban Cruiser and Maruti Suzuki Brezza carry the same 1462cc, 1.5-liter petrol engine that produces 103bhp of power and 132Nm of torque. Maruti Suzuki has recently launched the facelift of Brezza and it is far better than the Toyota Urban Cruiser. It is not officially announced yet but rumors on the internet suggest that the facelift of Urban Cruiser will soon hit the market.

BrezzaThe price of the Toyota Urban Cruiser ranges between Rs. 9.02 lakh – Rs. 11.73 lakh (Ex-showroom). The price of the new Brezza starts at Rs. 8.19 lakh and goes up to Rs. 14.04 lakh.
