CNG cars are quite popular in India because of their low consumption and higher average. Due to the increase in fuel prices CNG and EV cars are now being recommended. Currently, the CNG segment is ruled by Maruti Suzuki but other carmakers are also bringing their products into this segment. Let’s have a look at the top 5 upcoming CNG cars in India.

 

Toyota Glanza CNG

The facelifted Glance will soon get a CNG version launched in India. As per a leaked ARAI document, the powering engine of the Toyota Glanza CNG will be a 1.2-liter petrol K-series Dual Jet, Dual VVT which produces 88.5bhp. The bi-fuel CNG mated version will produce around 76.4bhp and will get a 5-speed manual transmission. 

 

Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG

Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG

The company’s first CNG car in the Nexa models will be the Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG. It’s going to launch very soon and it will share its powering unit with the Toyota Glanza CNG. The engine will be a 1.2-liter petrol mated with 5-speed manual transmission. The mileage of Baleno CNG is assumed to be more than 25km/kg.

 

Kia Sonet CNG

Kia Sonet CNG is expected to launch earlier next year the road testing of the model is currently under process. The Kia Sonet CNG will be the Kia’s first CNG factory-fitted car in India. The model is likely to be introduced with only one engine option which is a 1.0-liter turbo petrol mated with 6-speed manual gearbox.

 

Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG

The CNG version of the popular Brezza is going to launch soon in India. It will be available with the option of a manual and automatic gearbox which will make it the first automatic CNG car from Maruti. The Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG will get a 1.5-liter bi-fuel petrol engine under the hood.

 

Kia Carens CNG

The last car on the list is The Kia Carens CNG. It is also expected to launch earlier next year alongside the Kia Sonet CNG. The Kia Carens CNG was spied on roads doing some on-road testing. The engine powering the Kia Carens CNG will be a 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol mated with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
