On June 6, Honda will officially introduce their new Honda Elevate, a compact SUV that will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The upcoming Honda’s Elevate SUV is expected to get many advanced features like ADAS and hybrid powertrains but it won’t have the most cutting-edge features for mass-market consumers that its competitors have been showcasing for some time now. In this article, we will tell you the top 5 popular car features that the Honda Elevate will likely miss out on.

The Honda Elevate will miss out on a panoramic sunroof, it will get a sunroof instead. This was recently verified by a teaser that showed the Elevate from above, clearly displaying a single-pane sunroof. Other vehicles in this price range that include this feature: the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder. This function will also be included in the facelifted Kia Seltos that is expected to launch later this year.

2. Diesel Engine

The Honda’s Elevate won’t have a diesel engine option, which Honda just recently removed from its portfolio in India. Although the compact SUV category in India mostly lacks diesel choices, several of its competitors nevertheless provide customers with the option of the torquier powertrain.

3. Turbo-petrol Engine

It’s unlikely that the Honda Elevate will have a turbo-petrol engine option either. Honda doesn’t provide performance-focused powertrains in India; instead, it prefers to include hybrid powertrains and other powertrains that offer greater fuel efficiency.

4. An Impressive Display

Honda India does not provide the largest infotainment displays in the market. Even the updated City, has a smaller infotainment screen (8 inches) in its segment. The Honda Elevate is expected to get a segment-standard 10.25-inch touchscreen display.

5. All-Wheel Drive

All-wheel drive is not as prevalent in most urban small SUVs, but it has its charm and is only available on the Maruti-Toyota Grand Vitara and Hyryder. Given that the Honda Elevate lags behind its competitors in the features mentioned above, it might get this feature to differentiate itself, but it almost surely will not.   The Elevate may miss out on some popular features but it will surely have qualities like interior excellence, excellent craftsmanship, sharp design, and dependability, there is still much more to look forward to in the upcoming Honda Elevate. The SUV will likely go on sale by August 2023, with a projected price of Rs. 11 lakh (Ex-showroom). The Elevate will compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Slavia.
