Audi, a luxury car brand in India, is going to launch a new variant ‘Audi Q3 Sportback’ of its Q3 SUV in the country. The Q3 is a coupe-style SUV that was launched in August 2022. Audi Q3 Sportback is going to be the first coupe crossover in its segment in India. The bookings of this new Q3 Sportback variant have already started and customers can book it by visiting the nearest Audi showroom for a token amount of Rs. 2 lakh.
The Q3 Sportback has a similar design to the Q3, the only major difference is at the rear where the sloping roofline merges into the back and creates a coupe-like design. The front of the Q3 Sportback is like any other Audi however, the big Audi signature grille has been modified by giving it a gloss black mesh pattern. The roof of the SUV is also given a new gloss black treatment. The other exterior details include – LED headlights, LED rear combination tail lamps, dynamic turn indicators, a panoramic sunroof, a gesture-controlled tailgate, and new five-spoke V-style R18 alloy wheels.
The interior of the Q3 Sportback is very luxurious as expected. It has soft-touch materials all around with silver inserts in the dashboard. This coupe crossover gets 30 different colors of ambient lighting, power-adjustable front seats with four-way lumbar support, leatherette premium upholstery, rear seat with fore/aft adjustment, 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment with 10 Audi speaker system, virtual cockpit, dual-zone climate control, and wireless charger. The Q3 Sportback also gets features like – powered ORVMS with heating and auto-dimming function, frameless auto-dimming IRVM, and a space saver spare wheel. Safety-wise it has – six airbags, a rear parking camera and sensors, TPMS, and ISOFIX mounts.
The Q3 Sportback will carry the same 2.0-liter TFSI petrol engine you get in the standard Q3. This engine produces 188bhp of power and 320 Nm of peak torque and it can take Q3 from 0-100kmph in just 7.2 seconds. This engine only comes mated to a seven-speed DCT unit and Audi also offers a Quattro all-wheel drive system in this crossover SUV. The price of the Q3 Sportback is not revealed yet but we expect it to be around 3-5 lakh more than the standard Q3. The company has said that the price chart of Q3 Sportback will be revealed in the coming weeks and the delivery will start in 2023.
