Isuzu Motors India has launched its newest SUV, the MU-X, in the country. The new MU-X is a more advanced and upgraded version of the company’s previous model Adventura, including a more aggressive and sturdy design, enhanced functionality, and upgraded technology.
The new MU-X has a bulky and bold design, as well as a powerful and forceful road presence. The exteriors of the vehicle have changed significantly from the previous Adventure model, with a more refined and imposing grille, LED DRLs, and sharper styling. The sleeker form was intended not only for aesthetics but also for improved fuel efficiency. The MU-X’s interior is big, spacious, and elegant. The seats are composed of fine leather, so the driver and passengers will be comfortable even on lengthy rides. The vehicle comes with a cutting-edge infotainment system that not only delivers excellent entertainment but also displays navigation and important vehicle information.
The MU-X has excellent safety features such as six airbags, electronic stability control, a 6-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, auto AC, a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, leatherette upholstery, and braking assist. It also has parking sensors and a rearview camera, which makes parking a snap. Currently, the MU-X is offered in two sizes: 4×2 and 4×4. The 4×4 variant has a limited-slip differential, hill descent control, and extra skid plates, making it a perfect off-road vehicle, whereas the 4×2 variant is suitable for families.
The MU-X features a 1.9-liter diesel engine that produces 163PS and 360Nm. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and gets shift-on-the-fly 4WD in the top-spec variant. The MU-X’s Terrain Command 4WD system provides maximum grip and tractability while driving on uneven terrain.
The MU-X price starts at Rs 35 lakh (Ex-showroom) and the 4×4 top variant of the SUV costs Rs 37.90 lakh (Ex-showroom).
