Mercedes, a luxury German car manufacturing company, has launched the new Mercedes Benz GLC 2023. Currently, SUVs are gaining a lot of popularity all over the world. SUVs generally are a better option than sedans, hatchbacks, and other types of personal vehicles because they are more practical in terms of space and comfort and can easily tackle rough roads. The SUV segment is the most popular segment in India too, followed by hatchbacks and EVs. Mercedes GLC is a luxury 5-seater SUV. GLC 2023 design is clean and stunning. It has an oval-shaped grille that carries a chrome line and a big logo in the middle, the headlights are updated and they now have integrated eyebrows and lashes like LED DRLs, and the front bumper has a silver-finished chin and minimal curves. The side profile includes new-design alloy wheels, piano black rearview mirrors, and body-color door handles. The rear gets slim LED taillights, a windshield wiper, and a clean bumper. The interior of the GLC is very luxurious. The dashboard and center console is covered with premium materials. The seats are very comfortable and the rear has enough room for 3 adults.

The GLC 2023 feature list includes an 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that operates on the second-gen MBUX software, a wireless charging pad, heated/cooled seats, and new leather upholstery. The GLC 2023 will also come with an ADAS bundle which includes adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, trailer maneuvering system, and park assistance.

The new GLC will be offered two engine options – a 2-liter Diesel and a 2-liter Petrol. Both the engines will come mated to a 48V mild-hybrid tech and automatic transmission. The petrol engine produces 197PS of power and the diesel unit gives an output of up to 381PS. The GLC 2023 will also get plug-in hybrid options – two petrol mills that give a power output of 381PS and one diesel unit that produces 331PS of power.

Mercedes has already launched the new GLC globally and the SUV is expected to hit the Indian car market on 15 March 2023. The new GLC price is yet to be officially announced but according to some reports on the internet, we believe that its price could start from Rs. 60 lakh (Ex-showroom). After the launch, the GLC will compete with the likes of Audi Q5, BMW X3, Lexus NX, and Volvo XC60.
