Mercedes-AMG has launched its latest offering, the GT 63 S E Performance in India, which is a plug-in hybrid version of the highly successful GT 63 S four-door coupe. The vehicle showcases the best of both worlds, combining a sophisticated body, powerful engine, and advanced electric technology.

 The GT 63 S E Performance is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 639 horsepower, along with a 204 horsepower electric motor, both working in tandem to offer an extraordinary driving experience. The plug-in hybrid system has a limited all-electric range of 12 miles, which is admissible under the current regulations. However, this all-electric mode is enhanced by the electric motor’s 202 horsepower power output, providing a combined output of 843hp and 1,470Nm of torque, making it the most powerful plug-in hybrid in the market today. The AMG GT 63 S E Performance can go from 0-100kph in just 2.9 seconds and it has a top speed of 316kph.

 The AMG GT 63 S E Performance is equipped with a 6.1kWh, 400V battery pack weighing only 89kg. In EV mode, this automobile can go 12 kilometers at a top speed of 130 kilometers per hour. The car’s advanced electric technology allows the battery to be full in just 30 minutes when using a DC charging station. It has also been designed with a recuperation system capable of recharging the battery while driving.

The AMG GT 63 S E Performance price in India is Rs. 3.30 crore (Ex-showroom). Currently, Mercedes AMG GT 63 S E Performance has only one direct competitor in India, The Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid which costs Rs 2.76 crore (Ex-showroom).
