The five-seater competes in the fiercely competitive segment alongside vehicles like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Nissan Kicks, and others. It also features a variety of sleights of hand. More significantly, the 1.5-liter three-cylinder Atkinson Cycle gasoline engine that the Grand Vitara uses to power it collaborates with an electric motor and a battery pack.
The strong hybrid system only has an e-CVT and has a combined power output of 116 PS. It has a special electric vehicle mode that is useful in congested areas and at low speeds to increase economy. The quoted fuel efficiency is close to 28 kilometers per liter. The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara’s mild hybrid model runs on a standard K15C petrol engine.
The most recent Brezza, Ertiga, and XL6 models all have the same powerplant. As a result, the mild hybrid model has been reduced in comparison to Toyota’s strong hybrid model. The four-cylinder, 1.5-liter K15C smart hybrid petrol engine was built in-house and has a peak torque of 136 Nm and 103 PS.
It is paired with a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission as an option or a five-speed manual transmission as standard, and a 4WD system will only be available with this powerplant choice. The Grand Vitara is the largest Maruti Suzuki vehicle to be built on the Global C platform, making it the flagship model in almost every respect.
The midsize SUV comes with a wireless charger, a HUD, a 360-degree camera system, six airbags, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Customers can customize their Grand Vitars with Maruti Suzuki Genuine Accessories, which come in a total of 3 two-tone and 6 single-tone colors. Additionally, two premium packages called EnigmaX and EnigmaX X are also offered.
There are four driving modes available for the Grand Vitara AWD with the Suzuki AllGrip Select AWD system (Auto, Sport, Snow, and Lock). ESP with Hill Hold Assist, three-point seatbelts, standard disc brakes on all four wheels, ABS with EBD, Hill Descent Control, and TPMS are a few of the standout safety features.
