Maruti Suzuki recently showcased the Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG at Auto Expo 2023. Brezza will be the first SUV in its segment to be offered with factory fitted CNG kit and the second SUV in Maruti’s portfolio to get CNG after the Grand Vitara. The Brezza CNG model will carry the traditional CNG cylinder in the boot, unlike the Tata Punch which carries new CNG tech that uses a dual-cylinder setup, this setup doesn’t eat up the boot space of the vehicle. The base-spec variant of Brezza will not have a CNG option as it will be only offered in the higher variants. In this article, we will discuss the upcoming Brezza CNG. The Brezza CNG launch is much awaited from 2022. Brezza is one of the best-selling cars in India and since the launch of the Brezza facelift its popularity has skyrocketed. Seeing the high demand for CNG cars in the country it is safe to say that the CNG version of the Brezza will surely boost its sales further. The CNG Brezza will have the same design and features as the petrol variant but its boot space will be smaller than the standard Brezza because of the placement of the big CNG cylinder. The base-spec variant of Brezza will not get the CNG kit, we expect that only the higher variants will be offered with the CNG option.
According to the latest reports the Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG will be offered in VXI and ZXI variants. These variants have features like – an electric sunroof, cruise control, engine push start/stop button, automatic AC, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a rear parking camera, ESP, and hill hold assist. The Brezza CNG will get an additional switch to switch between petrol and CNG and a CNG level displaying unit which will tell you how much Gas is left in the cylinder. Maruti Suzuki is yet to reveal the exact boot space of the Brezza CNG. The standard Brezza gets a boot-carrying capacity of 328 liters.
The Brezza CNG model will carry the same 1.5-liter petrol-CNG engine seen in the Grand Vitara CNG. This engine, when powered by CNG, produces 88PS pf power and 121.5 Nm of torque. The Vitara Brezza CNG will only be offered a 5-speed manual transmission. The Brezza CNG Mileage is not officially revealed yet but we expect that it will be similar to the Grand Vitara mileage which is around 27 km/kg.
The Brezza CNG launch date is not confirmed by the company yet but it is said to be launching in February or March 2023. The Brezza CNG launch is much awaited since November 2022. The Brezza CNG Price will be about Rs. 1 lakh more than the petrol variant. The price of petrol Brezza ranges between Rs. 8.18 – Rs. 14.03 lakh (Ex-showroom). The Brezza CNG on-road price is expected in between Rs. 11.45 lakh – Rs.14.55 lakh.
