After the launch of Mahindra Scorpio N, it was confirmed that the car will have a high demand because of its looks and features and its popular name ‘Scorpio’.
Soon after the launch, the car booking numbers were off the charts and the delivery of the Scorpion N started in the last week of September 2022.
First, the company prioritizes the customers who have booked the top-end variant of the car. Mahindra delivered 7,000 units of the top variant Scorpio N in the first 10 days of the Navratri festival.
Now in December 2022, Mahindra has started the delivery of the mid-spec and lower-spec variants of the Scorpio N. Today we have gathered all the details of the lower-spec variant of the SUV. In this article, we will give you a walkaround of the SUV plus we will tell you all the features and engine details.
Akash Choudhary, one of the first customers of the Scorpio N Z4 variant says that he got his car 5 days before the promised delivery date.
Akash now owns a Scorpio N Z4 Diesel AT 4X2. The Z4 Diesel AT variant has Zip, Zap, and Zoom driving modes; this function is not mentioned in the feature list of the Z4 trim of Scorpio N on the official website of Mahindra.
The Z4 trim of Scorpio N is offered in both petrol and diesel options. The buyers also have the option of a manual and automatic gearbox.
A 4WD option is available in the Z4 trim with manual transmission. The Z4 trim of the Scorpio N carries enough features and it can be said that it is the most value-for-money variant of the Scorpio N.
Mahindra Scorpio N Z4 Diesel AT variant has 3 drive modes, a semi-digital MID display that shows various readouts, a manual AC unit with heater, rear AC vents with separate blower, a touchscreen infotainment system with few buttons and knobs, traction control, hill descent control, and more.
Talking about the steering wheel, on the right side you get cruise controls and audio controls are on the left side.
The interior of the SUV is covered in Brown fabric upholstery, and it also gets a cooled glove box and manual dimming IRVM.
The Z4 trim doesn’t have some of the outside functions like projector headlights, LED DRLs, and fog lamps but the Z4 trim does have a side step as standard. The overall look of the trim does not disappoint.
The Scorpio N gets two engine options, a 2.0L petrol, and a 2.2L diesel; these are the same engines Mahindra uses in the Thar and XUV700.
With these engines, the company offers two transmission options: a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.
The 2.2L diesel engine produces 130 bhp of power in the Z2 trim while this same engine makes 172 bhp of power in the Z4 trim.
