Auto Expo 2023 is getting lesser hype than the previous Auto Expo and the reason is, less number of participating companies. Auto Expo, the biggest vehicle show in India which occurs every 2 years, is all set for January 2023. The show was originally set to take place in 2022 but due to the rampage of the covid-19 pandemic, the show dates were shifted. For years Auto Expo was filled with new technology, cars, scooters, bikes, engagements, and big-name companies but the 2023 Auto Expo does not promise the same craze and multiple numbers of new introductions in the automobile industry cause of missing participants.
Auto Expo 2023 Dates and Location
Originally Auto Expo was supposed to be held in 2022, first in January but then shifted to February to avoid the thick blanket of fog and bones chilling cold. But then the gathering of people became a problem due to the covid-19 virus so the Event again got postponed and it will now be held in 2023 from 13 to 18 January. Auto Expo used to be held at Pragati Maidan, in Delhi but the venue was shifted to India Expo Mart in 2014 to take advantage of the larger area which also benefited the visitors as they got an extended parking space. The India Expo Mart in Greater Noida will host the 2023 Auto Expo.
At Auto Expo, we are used to seeing the line of new and updated two-wheelers with crazy designs and technology but this time the scene will be changed because many big names will miss the 2023 Auto Expo. Which are – Hero MotoCorp, Honda, Bajaj, TVS, and Royal Enfield. I know this sounds strange but it’s true, these companies are set to not show up at the 2023 Auto Expo. Harley Davidson is also likely to wave off the 2023 Auto Expo cause Hero will not be present. Many new Electric 2-wheelers companies could be the part of 2023 Auto Expo since the Electric vehicle segment is on the rise but many new start-up electric 2W companies lack funds to fill the expensive stall fee at the Auto Expo. It will be interesting to see which companies will be showcasing their new 2-wheelers and technology at the 2023 Auto Expo.
New cars have always been the heart and main attention of the Auto Expo event. This time we will be introduced to some new cars and EVs but not all big car companies will be present at the 2023 Auto Expo. The main 3 luxury brands in India Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi will not show up. Skoda, Volkswagen, Renault, Nissan, and Mahindra will also skip Auto Expo this time. The names of participating companies are Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Kia, Tata Motors, Toyota, Lexus, and MG. A glimpse of BYD will also be shown. Some CV manufacturers are expected at the show – Ashok Leyland, Eicher, JBM, and Isuzu. SIAM and CII could be working with manufacturers over the next few weeks in attempting to coax them into participating at Auto Expo 2023.
