Many companies are now showing interest in micro-SUVs. Recently Tata motors launched a micro-SUV called “Tata Punch”. Tata Punch got a great response in India and noticing this the Korean car manufacturer Hyundai is planning to launch a new micro-SUV of their own in India.
This new micro-SUV from Hyundai, when launched will compete with cars like Tata Punch and Citroen C3. This new car could replace the Grand i10 Nios.
The launching date of the Hyundai B1 segment compact SUV is currently unknown but we are expecting that the car will launch at the end of 2023 or in the first half of 2024.
The name of Hyundai’s upcoming micro-SUV is not revealed yet but we have the codename of it which is Hyundai Ai3 CUV. This car will be built on the same platform on which the i10 Nios and Hyundai Aura are built.
The engine options this car will have are the same engines we get in Grand i10 Nios. It will have a 1.2-liter petrol engine and performance lovers can go for the 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine. After the launch, Hyundai could also launch a CNG variant of the car.
The upcoming micro-SUV of Hyundai will have many features like a large infotainment system, wireless charger, semi-digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, push-start button, Hyundai BlueLink, cooled storage console, and electrically operated ORVMs.
Safety-wise this car will have dual airbags, ABS, EBS, seat belt reminder, and reverse parking sensors.
The price of the upcoming Hyundai micro-SUV is not revealed yet but we are expecting it to be around Rs.6 to 7 lakh (Ex-showroom) for the base model.
After launch, this car will rival the Maruti Ignis, Tata Punch, Citroen C3, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger.
