Hyundai has now made its cars safer and compiled with the new emission norms that will be strictly applied on April 1, 2023. The new 2023 SUV range of Hyundai includes Creta, Alcazar, and Venue. The Venue was upgraded first and now the updated versions of Creta and Alcazar have arrived. The prices of these SUVs have also increased because of these upgrades. Today, we will tell you about all the confirmed changes in the Creta and Alcazar.

Hyundai Creta gets 6 airbags as standard

 Hyundai has upgraded the Creta according to the new norms. Creta now gets 6 airbags as standard along with other safety features like – electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, hill hold assist, rear disc brakes, seat belt height adjustment, and ISOFIX mounts as standard across all variants. If you go for the higher variant then you will also get the features like – a rear parking camera, electrochromic IRVM, automatic headlamps, and fog lamps. 

 Hyundai Creta now complies with the upcoming emission norms and gets BS6 Phase 2-compliant and E20 (20% ethanol blend) ready 140PS 1.4-liter turbo-petrol and 115PS 1.5-liter (petrol and diesel) engines with either a manual or automatic transmission. The price of the Hyundai Creta has increased because of these upgrades. The new price range of Creta is from Rs. 10.84 lakh – Rs. 19.13 lakh (Ex-showroom).

Upgraded Hyundai Alcazar 

 In addition to the already existent safety features like ESC, hill hold assist, tire pressure monitoring system, rear disc brakes, LED fog lamps, and a rear parking camera, the Alcazar now comes standard with six airbags. You will also receive front parking sensors and a 360-degree camera with a blind view monitor if you choose the costlier models.

 The 150PS 2-liter petrol and 115PS 1.5-liter diesel engines of Alcazar, mated with manual and automatic transmissions are also upgraded according to the upcoming emission norms. These upgrades have increased the price of the Hyundai Alcazar. The new price range of Alcazar is from Rs. 16.10 lakh – Rs. 21.10 lakh (Ex-showroom). The main competitors of Alcazar are – Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Mahindra XUV700. Hyundai has also added more safety features in the new Grand i10 Nios and Aura. The only models of Hyundai waiting to get an upgrade are the i20 and Verna.
