BMW has launched the new BMW Z4 Roadster facelift in India. The Z4 is a very popular 2-seater sports car in India among Luxury automobile enthusiasts. To even further expand the fan base of Z4 BMW has launched a new facelift version of Z4 which looks and performs even greater. The exterior design of the new Z4 and the previous model is almost similar but because of some cosmetic upgrades, the difference between the two can be easily noticed. The new Z4 BMW, a two-seater convertible sports car, boasts a striking exterior design. Its low-slung body, long hood, and short overhangs create a dynamic silhouette that is instantly recognizable. The muscular wheel arches, contoured side skirts, and large air intakes further accentuate the car’s sporty character. Whether the roof is up or down, the new BMW Z4 effortlessly catches the eye and makes a bold statement on the road.
Step inside the BMW Z4, and you’ll be greeted by a driver-focused cockpit that combines luxury and advanced technology. BMW has upgraded the tri and upholstery on the new Z4. The new Z4 onboard premium materials, fine craftsmanship, attention to detail, and an ergonomic layout that puts all controls within easy reach. The new Z4 features the latest iteration of BMW’s iDrive 7.0 infotainment system, which can be accessed through the 10.25-inch touchscreen display or by using voice commands. Digital driver’s display, ambient lighting, powered driver and passenger seat with memory function, dual-zone AC, connected car features, four airbags, dynamic traction control, dynamic stability control, and cornering brake control are some of the features you get in the new Z4. Launch control, three driving modes, M Sport brakes, an M Sport differential, an adaptive M Sport suspension, and cruise control with braking are all included as standard features in the new Z4 M40i.
Under the hood, the BMW Z4 carries a 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged inline-six-cylinder engine that produces 340hp of power and 500Nm of torque. These figures are the same as the previous model but because of the refinement done on the engine, you will feel like it’s better than before. This engine comes mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels only. According to BMW, the Z4 M40i can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds.
The delivery of the new Z4 will start in June 2023. The launch price of the new BMW Z4 is Rs. 4.40 lakh higher than the previous model. The Z4 facelift costs Rs. 89.30 lakhs (Ex-showroom). The Porsche 718 Boxster is the only car that directly competes with the BMW Z4 in India, however, it is more costly, with pricing beginning at 1.52 crore (ex-showroom).
