BMW, the renowned German car manufacturer, has introduced two new models in India, namely the BMW 740d M Sport and the BMW i7 M70 xDrive. The 740d M Sport is priced at Rs 1.81 crore and is locally assembled at BMW’s Chennai facility, while the i7 M70 xDrive, which costs Rs 2.50 crore, is offered as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) unit.
The BMW 740d M Sport comes in a selection of elegant colors, including Oxide Grey, Mineral White, Black Sapphire, and BMW Individual Tanzanite Blue. In contrast, the BMW i7 M70 xDrive features a unique two-tone paint scheme with options for a Black Sapphire or Oxide Gray Roof paintwork.
BMW’s electric marvel, the BMW i7 M70 xDrive, stands out as the company’s first all-electric M car. It boasts a substantial 101.7kWh lithium-ion battery pack and a dual-motor configuration, delivering an impressive 641bhp and a remarkable 1015Nm of torque, establishing itself as the most potent electric BMW to date. This robust setup grants the i7 M70 xDrive a substantial range of 560 kilometers on a single charge.
In terms of design, the BMW i7 M 70 xDrive showcases an array of M-style elements, including distinctive bumpers, side skirts, mirrors, alloy wheels, and a rear spoiler. The car’s exterior is further accentuated by Swarovski crystal headlights, a blacked-out front grille, and Blue M calipers. Inside, the cabin is equipped with numerous high-end features, such as an M leather-wrapped steering wheel and roof liner, a dual-screen infotainment setup, ventilated seats with massage functionality, and a rear seat theater screen for added luxury.
On the other hand, the new BMW 740d M Sport is powered by a 3.0-liter diesel engine coupled with an 8-speed gearbox, delivering 282bhp and an impressive 650Nm of torque. This engine is complemented by a mild hybrid system, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 6 seconds.
