Honda, a Japanese car manufacturing company, has launched the 2023 Honda City today. The city is the most popular sedan in India and it is the highest-selling car of Honda too, in India. The new Honda City 2023 got some exterior and interior design changes as well as got some really cool features to add on. The hybrid version of the car also receives a facelift and it now gets an upscaled interior with a carbon fiber pattern, piano black elements around AC vents, and piano black steering wheel garnish. The exterior design of the Honda City facelift got many upgrades like a new and bigger grill, a new sporty front and rear bumper, updated headlights, a new design of 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and a rear spoiler. The exterior design of the new Honda City is sportier than the previous elegant-looking models. The interior design is not changed that much, the petrol variants get an option of a two-tone beige and black interior, while the Hybrid variants get a two-tone ivory and black interior concept. New City comes in six different colors including Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Golden Brown Metallic, Meteoroid Grey Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, and a new blue pearl.
The Honda City facelift comes equipped with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a new touchscreen infotainment system, an improved rear-view camera, a wireless charger, rain-sensing wipers, an electric sunroof, and ambient lighting. The higher variants of the car get ADAS suite too, which includes features like Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow function, Lead Car Departure Notification System, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation System, Lane Keep Assist, and Auto High-Beam.
The updated Honda City carries an RDE-compliant 1.5-liter petrol engine under the hood. This engine produces 119 BHP of power at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm. Transmission options with this engine are – a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed CVT. According to the company, this engine gives a fuel efficiency of 17.8-18.4 kmpl.
The hybrid variant of the car ‘City e:HEV’ gets two electric motors paired with a 1.5-liter petrol engine. This combination produces 124 BHP of power and 253 Nm of torque. The Honda City e:HEV only comes with an e-CVT and its mileage is really great at 27.13kmpl.
Honda City Starting Price The 2023 Honda City comes in 7 variants (SV, V MT, V CVT, VX MT, VX CVT, ZX MT, and ZX CVT). Honda City starting price is Rs. 11.49 lakh (Ex-showroom) and it goes up to Rs. 15.97 lakh (Ex-showroom) for the top-spec ZX CVT variant. The hybrid version of the City comes in two trims (V and ZX). The V trim costs Rs. 18.89 lakh (Ex-showroom), while the ZX is priced at Rs. 20.39 lakh (Ex-showroom).
